No matter ... with 不管…都 — Chinese grammar (HSK 4)

不管 + Question word / A还是B,(Subject) + 都 + ...

不管 (bùguǎn) means "no matter what / who / how", and the second clause almost always contains 都 (or 也) to say the result stays the same. The 不管 clause must contain an open question: a question word like 什么 or 怎么, an A还是B choice, or a verb + 不 + verb. You cannot follow 不管 with a plain statement the way English "regardless of the fact that" works.

Examples

不管天气怎么样,他都去跑步。
Bùguǎn tiānqì zěnmeyàng, tā dōu qù pǎobù.
No matter what the weather is like, he goes running.
不管你去不去,我都要去。
Bùguǎn nǐ qù bù qù, wǒ dōu yào qù.
Whether you go or not, I am going.
不管遇到什么困难,我们都不能放弃。
Bùguǎn yùdào shénme kùnnan, wǒmen dōu bù néng fàngqì.
No matter what difficulties we meet, we cannot give up.
Tip: 不管下雨 is wrong on its own; turn it into a question: 不管下不下雨.
