Describing how with 得 — Chinese grammar (HSK 2)
Verb + 得 + (很) + Adjective
To say how well or how fast something is done, put 得 (de) right after the verb and follow it with an adjective: 说得很好 (speaks very well). This replaces English adverbs ending in "-ly". If there is an object, mention it before the verb (or repeat the verb) so that 得 still sits directly after the verb: 他汉语说得很好.
